Exciting New Launch – A Beautifully Versatile Shabby Chic Collection 💙

Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening my lovely crafty friends — wherever you are in the world

Today I’m so excited to be sharing this brand new collection launch with you… and this one is a little bit special 💙

Not only is it filled with all those soft, shabby chic, vintage-inspired details we love — think delicate lace, dreamy blue blooms, and fluttering butterflies — but it’s also been designed as an added value kit.

I always try my very best to keep these kits as amazing value as possible, and this one really delivers. Inside the collection, you’ll find four of my special designer papers, which I would normally sell individually at £2 each. That’s £8 worth of papers included… meaning you’re essentially getting the rest of the kit for free

You can find the kit on the website here: https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/jnfXU

Here are just a few of the sheets included more close-up

What’s Inside the Kit?

This collection has been carefully put together so every page works beautifully together, giving you endless creative possibilities. Inside you’ll find:

  • Gorgeous toppers and panels to build your card designs
  • Fussy cut butterflies perfect for decoupage and layering
  • A mix of polka dots, florals, and lace-inspired papers
  • My signature shabby chic designer papers
  • Elegant vintage-style lace layers
  • A selection of fancy sentiments (which I absolutely loved designing!)
  • Coordinating cardbanks, inserts, and backing papers
  • Additional toppers and sentiment toppers to finish your makes

Every element has been designed to coordinate effortlessly, so you can mix, match, layer, and build with ease.

So Much More Than Cardmaking…

While this kit is absolutely perfect for creating beautiful handmade cards, its versatility goes so much further — and that’s something I’ve really kept in mind while designing it.

With this collection, you can also create:

💙 Junk journals filled with layered textures and vintage charm

💙 Mini albums and scrapbook pages with a soft, cohesive look

💙 Mixed media projects using the papers as a base for experimentation

💙 Bookmarks and tags for gifts or personal use

💙 Gift packaging, boxes, and decorative wraps

💙 Even home décor projects like framed pieces or decorative panels

The combination of soft colours, layered patterns, and detailed elements makes it incredibly adaptable — whether you like clean and simple designs or more detailed, dimensional projects.

Let’s Talk Inspiration…

I have lots of samples to share with you for this collection, and I honestly had so much fun exploring all the different ways it can be used.

From elegant layered cards to textured journal pages and sweet little handmade extras, this kit really lends itself to creativity in all forms. I hope as you scroll through the samples, you’ll feel inspired to try something new — maybe even step a little outside your usual crafty comfort zone 💕

This is a beautiful, simple square card that really lets the design shine.

I started with a hammered white card blank for a lovely bit of texture, then added one of the square toppers from the kit, printed onto photo paper for that extra crisp finish (I’ll link everything I used below).

The sentiment is from my own stash, and I finished the card with a soft bow for a little added detail.

I also had a bit of an experiment with some old corner peel-offs. I wasn’t too keen on the thick gold border they originally had, so I carefully cut into the peel-offs and fussy cut just the design before removing it from the backing sheet. It gave a much more delicate, shabby chic look.

The peel-offs themselves are from an older sheet I had in my stash from Jeje — it’s always nice to find new ways to use those forgotten bits and pieces!

Gold mirror card was used for matting and layering

The beautiful card above was made by Laura

The style is a Z-fold card and it will fit in a C5 Envelope

The topper, backing paper and sentiment are from the kit as was the butterflies she lovingly cut out and decoupaged. Stickles was added for a lovely sparkly finish

Check out the beautiful 5x7 card above made by our Laura

The backing paper and topper are from the kit

Beautifully matted and layered with silver mirror card and navy cardstock

Scalloped edge gatefold card

The beautiful paper is page 15 from the kit

A PNG Cutting file was used to cut this out - Check out all of our PNG cutting files in the shop here - these files are to be used with digital cutting machines such as - Silhouette Caemo, Cricut and Brother Scan n cut (not die cutting machines) - check out the listings for more info with regards to machine compatibility etc...

As the file can be re-sized when it is imported there are no measurements provided as it all depends how big you make it when you

When I make these, I always make sure that whatever I do on one side, I repeat exactly on the other to keep everything nice and balanced.

For this one, I measured 1 inch from the base of the first scallop to create my first score and fold line. Then I measured another 1 inch in from that to create the second score and fold line.

Just for reference (you can make yours as wide or as narrow as you like) The base/ inside of the card is 5" wide (as shown below in pink)

When cutting your paper for matting and layering you use the same cut file that has been imported into your machines software to cut your card blank and reduce it ever so slightly - this will give you a nice even border right round the outside of the design (see the listing of the cutting file for more info)

Pre-made bought bow

The sentiment is from my stash

This card was made in exactly the same way as the card above but i used Navy cardstock as the base rather than white

Very simple Notched Corner Card

This look was achieved using a notched corner nested die set - you can find the Hunkydory set here:

https://amzn.to/49d2aFM

** added inspo - the smalller few in this nested set are lovely for cutting out sentiments and matting and layering them

The above card blank is one of my PNG cutting files ( launching soon so please keep popping back)

You can achieve nested arch die cuts by using this Hunkydory die set here: https://amzn.to/4vWZgio

Simple book mark ideas

I used my corner rounder punch i got free with my trimmer to round off the edges of the bookmark for a softer look

You can use a basic hole punch for punching a hole into your book

OR if you plan on making a few of these check out the WRMK eyelet tool here: https://amzn.to/4cCLQk4

For added inspiration there is a video on the listing to show you exactly how to use it.

This makes everything look so professional - it will be surprising how much you use this in your crafty projects such as making your own gift bags and tags but also around the house. I fixed our Tarp in the garden with this tool, made an extra hole in my belt and my other half keeps taking it into the garage to use it (don't worry he is well trained and always returns it)

If you would like to check out the tassels you can find them here:

https://amzn.to/4ueCL70

These come in a fabulous selection of colours and make a really pretty addition to your cards, junk journals, book marks, tags and gift bags

Perfect for using for your Album Crafts and Stationery Projects if you would like to make your own rind bound notebooks and albums check out the WRMK tool here: https://amzn.to/498rT27

I’ve been asked a lot lately what products I use in my cards, and the truth is—it changes all the time! I absolutely love finding a good bargain, and having worked in craft buying and sourcing for over 14 years, it’s something I’m really passionate about sharing with you. Most of the links I provide are aimed at my UK customers, as it would be impossible to list options for every country. However, if you’ve seen something you’d like more information on, or you’d like help finding the same (or something similar) where you are, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m always happy to help.

Final Thoughts

This collection is all about making something beautiful, no matter the project — and doing it in a way that feels relaxed, creative, and enjoyable.

I truly hope you love it as much as I’ve loved designing it. I can’t wait to see what you all create with it 💙✨

Happy crafting,

Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! April 28, 2026 Pretty Carnations Card So Many Questions… Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! 💙🍃 I recently shared a card over on Facebook, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the response it received!   Buy This As A Download 🌸 Combining My Two Loves – Flowers & Crafting 🌸 This blog post includes amazon affiliate links - there is no cost to you but it helps support our blog posts and video tutorials. Flowers have always been a huge part of my life. As a fully qualified florist, I spent many years surrounded by beautiful blooms every single day. Although I hung up the snips from day-to-day shop life quite a while ago, my love for flowers and plants has never gone away. I still enjoy dipping back into floristry now and again—whether that’s creating special gifts, working on events, or the occasional wedding. Alongside that, crafting has always been my other passion… so it probably comes as no surprise that the two have blended together over the years in the most wonderful way 💛 Creating flowers out of paper is something I’ve absolutely fallen in love with—and it’s been a passion of mine for over 20 years now.
