Happy Wednesday Crafty friends,

The Radiant Blooms Collection is a beautifully vibrant floral kit designed to bring colour, elegance, and creativity to your crafting. This digital collection includes 20 A4 sheets featuring a wonderful mix of toppers, tags, embellishments, special floral sentiments, decorative panels, and stunning backing papers. It’s an absolute joy to work with and isn’t just for cardmaking — use it to decorate or create journals, folios, and albums, design bookmarks and tags, enhance your stationery projects, or add beauty to ATCs and mixed media creations. You’ll also find specially designed panels in this kit that are perfect for adorning fancy fold cards or creating gorgeous tags for pockets. A truly versatile collection that invites you to craft, experiment, and create something special every time

How to make the Floating Tower Card - just click on the play button in the middle of the picture

Or you can watch it on youtube here:

Measurements:

I used 2 sheets of 300gsm Centura pearl Card Cardstock one to make the base of the card then the second sheet to make the floating topper

The card has 5 scored panels measured at:

6cm

5cm

6cm

5cm

2.5cm

As the card is A4 used in landscape orientation - the depth of the card is 21cm

The tower is 16cm deep

and consists of 5 panels

4 x 4cm

1 x 1cm fold at the end to create your tab to create your tower - remember to use a strong adhesive for this

This card is very similar to the Blue Floating Tower card I created for the Dainty and Blue samples, although that version was a little shorter and more compact (from memory this card was approx 16cm tall). For the blue card, I used a double-sided topper for the tower, scored it in half, and wrapped it around to decorate two sides. It looked lovely, but it was quite fiddly to do. For the Radiant Blooms version, I decided to decorate each panel separately instead, which made the whole process much easier and more enjoyable.

Once you’ve mastered the construction and fold of this card, you’ll be able to adapt the size to suit your own projects and create smaller or larger versions to fit your needs

For the above card i used:

Navy heavyweight cardstock from Creative Expressions for the card base

Gold Mirror Card for matting and layering

The blue florals paper is Opulence By Design Crafts Dainty in Blue digital download kit - you can find that here:

https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/SEYpH

The hessian leaves were created by free-hand cutting the leaf shapes out of hessian ribbon

The flower on the left i went around the outside of the petals with a gold acrylic marker to add a touch of gold.

I use red-liner tape when doing construction cards like this as i know it has a good firm adhesive grip.

Top tip: On the far-left panel below, I used scraps of the dainty blue paper to create the panel by gluing smaller pieces onto the blue card, then trimming, matting, and layering it onto the gold mirror card. I do this quite often—I hate waste, so it’s a great way to use up scraps that are just a bit too small for other projects, and I think it adds extra detail to the design. (I’m a big fan of paper piecing!)

The Radiant Blooms Tower Card Base was made in the same way i just decorated it differently, unfortunately i don't have any of the blue heavy cardstock left so the card base was made with the Centura pearl card

Decorated with the papers and sentiment from the Radiant Blooms Kit which you can find here:

Flowers have always been a huge part of my life. As a fully qualified florist, I spent many years surrounded by beautiful blooms every single day. I still enjoy dipping back into floristry now and again—whether that’s creating special gifts, working on events, or the occasional wedding. Alongside that, crafting has always been my other passion… so it probably comes as no surprise that the two have blended together over the years in the most wonderful way 💛 Creating flowers out of paper is something I’ve absolutely fallen in love with—and it’s been a passion of mine for over 20 years now. Whether they are stamped, die-cut, or printed, there is something...
