May 13, 2026 A Cute Puppy Card With Lots of Texture and Personality Sometimes it is the cute and playful cards that make me smile the most — and today’s card is definitely one of those projects. I absolutely fell in love with this adorable little puppy image and knew straight away that I wanted to keep the design soft, clean, and textured so the stamped image could really take centre stage. One of my favourite things about this card is how much texture has been added while still keeping the overall look simple and fresh. The embossed paw print and bone background adds so much interest without overpowering the focal image, and I love how it ties the whole dog theme together beautifully. For the colouring, I used my Tim Holtz Distress Pencils which are perfect for adding soft shading and subtle detail to stamped images like this. Messy Finger Mondays Are Officially Becoming A Thing I think Monday’s class is slowly turning into what can only be described as Messy Finger Mondays — and honestly, I am absolutely loving it. There is something so relaxing and creatively freeing about getting all of the waxes, mediums, inks, pastes, and messy crafty goodies out onto the desk and simply having a play. No overthinking, no pressure, just experimenting, layering textures, adding colour, and seeing where the creativity takes us. This card was created during last Monday’s session, and I really hope you like it. It is definitely something a little bit different and perhaps a little outside of the comfort zone for some of you, but that is exactly why I wanted to share it.
