Oh Baby! More Than Just a Bunting Kit – Discover All the Beautiful Ways to Use It

A Baby Collection Designed to Do So Much More

I am so excited to officially launch the Opulence By Design – Make Your Own Baby Bunting Kit — and I cannot wait to show you just how versatile this collection really is.

At first glance, you might think this is “just” a bunting kit… but I promise you, it is so much more than that.

You can find the download kit on the website herehttps://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/pu2CO

Of Course… The Bunting

The kit includes the letters to create a beautiful B A B Y banner, perfect for:

  • Baby showers
  • New arrival celebrations
  • Nursery décor
  • Photo backdrops

You can keep it clean and simple, or dress it up with ribbon, twine, lace or layered embellishments.

For my sample bunting, I added artificial flowers and leaves to give it a soft, dimensional finish. I found a lovely selection on Amazon, and they really elevate the finished look. If you’d like help finding the ones I used, please feel free to reach out and I’ll happily point you in the right direction.

Once the bunting was made up (the instructions on how to put this together are on the listing page for the kit - you have 2 methods of construction the create a flap and slot through or the hole punch method)

I glued the leaves and flowers along the top of the bunting using my hot glue gun arranging the flowers in clusters of 3 to help with balance. You could always use handmade die cut flowers or even just keep it plain and simple

The creams and neutral colours make this gender neutral - make this perfect if you are intending to make these to sell at craft fairs, you can easily change it up by adding in some blue or pink or even lemon or mint.

You can even cut out the animals (that are provided in the kit) and add them to the flags to make these really cute!

But It’s Not Just a Bunting Kit…

I intentionally included a coordinating backing paper and baby-themed embellishments so you can extend this collection far beyond a banner.

Using the backing paper and fussy-cut elements, I created a full range of baby cards, including:

  • It’s a Girl
  • It’s a Boy
  • Baby Shower designs
  • Gender reveal parties

The soft, gender-neutral palette makes it incredibly easy to adapt. You can keep it neutral and elegant, or add touches of pink or blue depending on the occasion.

The embellishments are perfect for layering, adding dimension, and creating focal points on cards without needing lots of extra supplies.

Create a Coordinated Gift Range

One of my favourite ideas with this kit is creating a cohesive gift set.

If you’ve made or bought a baby blanket, outfit or keepsake gift, you can design:

  • Matching gift bags
  • Coordinating keepsake boxes
  • Gift tags
  • A handmade card to match

Imagine gifting a baby blanket inside a beautifully decorated box, with a matching card and tag — everything perfectly coordinated. It turns a thoughtful present into a truly special keepsake.

Scrapbooks, Journals and More

The fussy-cut animals and baby embellishments are also ideal for:

  • Baby memory albums
  • Journaling pages
  • Keepsake books
  • Nursery décor projects - for example using the elements to decorate plaques or mdf pieces

Designed With Value in Mind

When I created this kit, I didn’t want it to feel like a single-use product. I wanted you to open the download and immediately see multiple creative pathways.

Yes, it makes a beautiful bunting banner — but it also becomes a card kit, a gift packaging collection, a scrapbook embellishment set and a decorative paper pack all in one.

That’s the beauty of a thoughtfully designed digital kit: flexibility, coordination and the freedom to create exactly what you need.

Here are some of the samples made with the collection i hope you like them

I truly hope this collection inspires you to celebrate those precious new beginnings in your own creative way. I cannot wait to see what you make.

Happy Crafting Amanda xo

Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! April 28, 2026 Pretty Carnations Card So Many Questions… Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! 💙🍃 I recently shared a card over on Facebook, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the response it received! Flowers have always been a huge part of my life. As a fully qualified florist, I spent many years surrounded by beautiful blooms every single day. Although I hung up the snips from day-to-day shop life quite a while ago, my love for flowers and plants has never gone away. I still enjoy dipping back into floristry now and again—whether that’s creating special gifts, working on events, or the occasional wedding. Alongside that, crafting has always been my other passion… so it probably comes as no surprise that the two have blended together over the years in the most wonderful way 💛 Creating flowers out of paper is something I’ve absolutely fallen in love with—and it’s been a passion of mine for over 20 years now. Whether they are stamped, die-cut, or printed, there is something...
