Short & Sweet – Card Details and Supplies

I’ll keep this short and sweet today 😊

I had so many lovely comments on this card yesterday, with lots of you asking what I used, so I thought it would be helpful to put together a little shopping list and card breakdown for you.

How to make the card - This card is a concertina card, made from an A4 sheet of card, split into four equal panels and then decorated. Simple in construction but such a fun format to work with!

The beautiful backing paper and image are both from today’s launch, and the foiled sentiment is from yesterday’s Easy Foilers kit. I’ll pop a link to the blog post for the sentiment below if you’d like to take a peek.

Shopping List for the card

I use 300gsm white cardstock to create the concertina base - https://amzn.to/4qLJgfz

The backing paper, image and ivy leaves are from today's new cardmaking kit - you can find it here: https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/NkWgG

I used gold mirror card for matting and layering and die cutting some foliage, i get this in a pack from Amazon - https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/NkWgG

The foiled sentiment - i did as part of a project for my blog and youtube - if you would like to check out the blog post for this you can find it here: https://www.obyd.co.uk/blog/ee0a6920-32ba-425e-a738-44be6cd2da8c

How i made the flower - The flower is silk - i get them on amazon here: https://amzn.to/3LJRNAS i dissect the flower to remove the green plastic from the back and the plastic centre to leave just the petal layers and layer them back up on my card (i used 2 layers and off set the petals) to create my own new flower

Flower Centres - I then i add a little gem to the centre - these are so pretty you can find these gems here:

I added some die cut foliage along with the 2 ivy leaves around the flower to finish it off

Added some gems from my stash to finish the look

Thank you so much for all the lovely comments and support — it really does mean the world to me 💕

Happy crafting ✂️✨

Flowers have always been a huge part of my life. As a fully qualified florist, I spent many years surrounded by beautiful blooms every single day. Although I hung up the snips from day-to-day shop life quite a while ago, my love for flowers and plants has never gone away. I still enjoy dipping back into floristry now and again—whether that’s creating special gifts, working on events, or the occasional wedding. Alongside that, crafting has always been my other passion… so it probably comes as no surprise that the two have blended together over the years in the most wonderful way 💛 Creating flowers out of paper is something I’ve absolutely fallen in love with—and it’s been a passion of mine for over 20 years now.
