Floral Illusions – Easy to Use, Beautiful to Create With
I’m so excited to share a little more about Floral Illusions, as this is one of those designs that offers so much creative freedom while remaining incredibly easy to use. It has a natural 3D illusion, making it perfect straight from the printer, but it also lends itself beautifully to layering, embellishing, and adding your own crafty touches.
You can find the cardmaking download here on the website - https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/i47c9
The original canvas size is 8" x 8", which reflects my love of making 8x8 cards – they’re also my best sellers. Designing at this size means the artwork is crisp and detailed, and it’s always easier to downsize a design rather than enlarge it, so there’s no loss in quality when you resize it for smaller projects.

Using your printer settings, you can quickly and easily adjust the size to suit your needs. For example, if you’d like to use this design on a 5x5 card, simply reduce the print size to around 70% and you’ll get a perfectly proportioned image with enough space for some matting and layering. Another great option is to print two images on one sheet, which works wonderfully for smaller cards, batch making, or when you want an extra copy to cut into.
I have included a screen print below so you can see how i select to print 2 to a page using my printer settings (if you are using an ipad you may need to download the app for your printer )
You can see the print preview of 2 of the images on one page below

Plus - always select the "best" option when printing
I’ve included a simple square card sample to show how effective this design is when used as-is, making it ideal for quick and easy crafting. There’s also a set of cards created using this sheet that are perfect for batch making, giving you a coordinated look with minimal effort.

One of my favourite samples is the beautiful card made by Laura. She printed two images on one page, then used the second print to cut up – carefully fussy cutting the flowers and shaping them with a ball tool and foam mat to create lovely little 3D flowers, which were then added to the wreath for extra depth and dimension.

You can see how Laura has cut out the flower from the second sheet and popped it ontop of the flower using a little foam pad to space it
Beautiful little gems have been added to the centres of the flowers and stickles have been added to the leaves

Floral Illusions is also perfect for adding a little sparkle. This design really shines when you bling it up with gems, rhinestones, pearls, or glitter accents, making it even more eye-catching and special.

Whether you prefer clean and simple designs, layered dimension, or plenty of sparkle, Floral Illusions gives you the flexibility to craft your way. It’s a beautifully versatile design, suitable for a plethora of occasions, and I can’t wait to see how you use it in your own projects.
