Beautiful Blooms: Pink Tulips – Sample showcase Blog Post

I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend šŸ’•

I’m so excited to finally share all of the samples for today’s launch with you. These projects have truly been weeks in the making — I actually started creating the samples back in early December — so I’ve been absolutely bursting to show you what I’ve been working on. It’s been such a joy seeing everything slowly come together, and I can’t wait for you to take a closer look and hopefully feel inspired by them too.

🌷 You can find the Beautiful Blooms Pink Tulips Cardmaking Kit on the website here: https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/hP5V1

I wanted to share a little more about this kit with you, as it’s been weeks and weeks in the making and very much a labour of love. So much time, thought, and experimenting has gone into every page, and I really wanted to create something that felt versatile, inspiring, and easy to use across lots of different projects.

This isn’t just a cardmaking kit — although it works beautifully for cards — it’s also been designed with junk journals, folios and flip flaps, brag books, ATCs, mixed media projects, and even home dĆ©cor in mind. I’ve had so much fun creating the samples, and I truly hope they give you lots of ideas and encouragement to try things your own way.

Here are some handmade card ideas for using the kit

Simple Square card - using dies

Handmade Tower Card

Pretty Glossy square card - this was page 1 printed onto glossy paper

Fancy fold card ideas

Double Easel Card

Shabby chic style card

Handmade Gatefold card

Handmade Tower Card

One of my favourite things about this collection has been playing with different papers. Printing onto glossy, matte, vellum, and even rice paper gives such different results, and it’s been lovely seeing how the designs transform just by changing the surface they’re printed on.

Junk Journal and handmade signature bundles

Handmade folio

Because this is a digital download, the kit is yours forever — you can print and use it whenever you want, in whatever way suits your crafting. No pressure, no rush, just something to come back to when the mood strikes.

Here are some more fun ways to use the kit - getting your money's worth lol

Decorated Gift bags - transform cheap gift bags by matching them to your handmade cards

Handmade gift tags

Bookmarks

Thank you so much for being here and for supporting what I do — it honestly means more than I can say. I really hope this collection inspires you and brings you some creative joy ✂️šŸ’•

Happy Crafting xo

Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! April 28, 2026 Pretty Carnations Card So Many Questions… Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! šŸ’™šŸƒ I recently shared a card over on Facebook, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the response it received! I’ve had so many lovely comments, questions, and private messages about how I created the flowers — thank you so much šŸ’™ It has got to the point where it’s just physically impossible to reply to everyone individually, so I thought the easiest (and most helpful!) way would be to put everything together here in a blog post for you.   Buy This As A Download 🌸 Combining My Two Loves – Flowers & Crafting 🌸 This blog post includes amazon affiliate links - there is no cost to you but it helps support our blog posts and video tutorials. Flowers have always been a huge part of my life. As a fully qualified florist, I spent many years surrounded by beautiful blooms every single day. Although I hung up the snips from day-to-day shop life quite a while ago, my love for flowers and plants has never gone away. I still enjoy dipping back into floristry now and again—whether that’s creating special gifts, working on events, or the occasional wedding. Alongside that, crafting has always been my other passion… so it probably comes as no surprise that the two have blended together over the years in the most wonderful way šŸ’› Creating flowers out of paper is something I’ve absolutely fallen in love with—and it’s been a passion of mine for over 20 years now.
