Welcoming the New Year in Style: Versatile Happy New Year Topper Ideas for Thoughtful Post-Christmas Thank You Cards and Gifts

Here’s a little sneak peek of something I’ve been working on!

Because I’ve got quite a large family — and with Christmas happening at my house — I can’t always get out to visit everyone on Boxing Day. A couple of years ago I started making Happy New Year cards instead, and they’ve become my little thank-you notes for Christmas gifts when I do my visits between Christmas and New Year.

This year, I’ve designed something a bit more versatile. It can be used as a traditional card, or you can cut it out and use it as a topper for cakes, a bunch of flowers, or even pop it into a bottle of something bubbly. It’s such a lovely way to extend the festive season, especially as Christmas cards usually get taken down with the decorations — but New Year cards get to stay up just that little bit longer.

I hope you’ll enjoy this one as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it.

There are 2 sheets available - so you can choose which style meets your needs most.

option 2.) a Duo topper sheet featuring 2 larger toppers - you can find this one on the website here: https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/ezcmM

The larger size of topper gives you a few more options to what you use to cut it out - that may be larger frame dies, a cutting machine etc.. to match up with your projects (see below for ideas)

You can either fussy cut these our or use your digital cutting machines to aid in this. I used my pixScan mat with my Cameo to but a nice little topper that can be used on cakes, in flowers or potted plants or to go on chocolates or bottles of wine
