Dried Flower Delight Concertina Card With Floating Panel

New Plaid Papers – Digital Download 🍂✨

I’m excited to share my plaid paper collection with you! I’ve called them Autumn collection because the front page features warm, autumnal colours, but they’re truly versatile and can be used all year round – even for Christmas projects. They also work brilliantly for men’s cards, making them a great staple for your craft stash.

Here are the colours included

Today’s blog post is inspired by my recent card where my two favourite hobbies came together – cardmaking and flower arranging. You’ll spot this in my sample card, where the plaid background pairs beautifully with floral details.

As an Amazon Associate, I may receive a small referral commission on eligible sales. This comes at no extra cost to you, but it does help support my blog and YouTube channel so I can keep bringing you new ideas and inspiration

The card style i have named a Concertina Card with floating panel

There aren’t any instructions as I just made it up using my Top Score board—I love experimenting with quirky folds. The back section is a concertina card, made by scoring and folding an A4 sheet into four equal panels.

I added a hidden flap to hold the centre topper in place 🥰, then finished it off with dried flowers, grasses, and raffia. (this attached to the second panel in like a "L" (just like a mini card blank) with one side on the panel and the other side attached to the back of the topper

Because i chose to decorate the centre topper panel and the two outer wings - this one will have to go in a box, normally the two wings would fold back

I have had so many messages about the dried flowers. I will be using lots of these over the next week or two so i thought i would list them altogether here:

The raffia that i used for the bows can be found here: https://amzn.to/3Vcsk44

I love using my glue gun to stick down the flowers and bows as it is an instant bond

I used tape pens for the matting and layering

Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! April 28, 2026 Pretty Carnations Card So Many Questions… Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! 💙🍃 I recently shared a card over on Facebook, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the response it received! I’ve had so many lovely comments, questions, and private messages about how I created the flowers — thank you so much 💙 It has got to the point where it’s just physically impossible to reply to everyone individually, so I thought the easiest (and most helpful!) way would be to put everything together here in a blog post for you. Paper Flowers Made Beautiful: Techniques, Tips & Inspiration

Buy This As A Download 🌸 Combining My Two Loves – Flowers & Crafting 🌸 This blog post includes amazon affiliate links - there is no cost to you but it helps support our blog posts and video tutorials. Flowers have always been a huge part of my life. As a fully qualified florist, I spent many years surrounded by beautiful blooms every single day. Although I hung up the snips from day-to-day shop life quite a while ago, my love for flowers and plants has never gone away. I still enjoy dipping back into floristry now and again—whether that’s creating special gifts, working on events, or the occasional wedding. Alongside that, crafting has always been my other passion… so it probably comes as no surprise that the two have blended together over the years in the most wonderful way 💛 Creating flowers out of paper is something I’ve absolutely fallen in love with—and it’s been a passion of mine for over 20 years now. Whether they are stamped, die-cut, or printed, there is something...
