Print, Cut, Celebrate: A New Floral Sheet & a 100th Birthday Card to Treasure Blog post with supplies list and flower shaping video

🌸 New Launch: Watercolour Pink Frilly Pansy – Print, Cut & Form Sheet Plus a Peek at a Very Special 100th Birthday Card

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

I’m absolutely thrilled to launch today’s brand new Watercolour Style Pink Frilly Pansy – Print, Cut & Form Digital Download 🌸✂️ You can find it on the website here: https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/ySJ0m

This delicate floral sheet has a soft, hand-painted look with pretty pink and blush tones and intricate detail—perfect for creating elegant cards and heartfelt keepsakes.

What makes this launch even more special is that it was originally designed for a very special 100th birthday card I had the honour of making. 💖

About the Card: Handmade with Love for a 100th Birthday

This simple yet meaningful card began with a sheet of 300gsm cardstock, folded in half to create a sturdy A5 base. To keep the design elegant and understated, I added a few embossed lines using a scoreboard, giving just the right amount of texture to the front of the card.

I wrapped some embroidery thread around the card for a subtle but charming extra touch — I love how a bit of thread adds softness and handmade warmth.

The focal point is a decorative die cut panel, which I matted and layered to form a beautiful base for the star of the show: my handmade floral arrangement.

🌸 Creating the Flowers

The Pink Frilly Pansies were printed onto 160gsm super smooth printing paper, perfect for rich colour and easy shaping. I used my new Tim Holtz snips (they are absolutely fabulous!) to fussy cut the flowers, then shaped them gently with a ball tool and foam mat to give them life and movement.

The final floral display was built with:

  • Print, Cut & Form Ivy Leaves
  • Die cut foliage and tiny die cut flowers

Finishing Touches

For the sentiment, I used one from my "Special Birthday" sentiment sheet. After printing it out, I foiled it using my Minc machine, giving it a lovely shine and that little extra luxe feel. I matted and layered it to coordinate with the card design and adhered it using foam pads to make it pop.

It was such a joy to bring this project to life, and I hope you’ll love using the Watercolour Pink Frilly Pansy Sheet just as much in your own crafting. I added some stickles for extra sparkle!, a bow and some gems from my stash.

I have popped a little supplies list below so you can see what i used.

Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! April 28, 2026 Pretty Carnations Card So Many Questions… Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! 💙🍃 I recently shared a card over on Facebook, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the response it received! Flowers have always been a huge part of my life. As a fully qualified florist, I spent many years surrounded by beautiful blooms every single day. Although I hung up the snips from day-to-day shop life quite a while ago, my love for flowers and plants has never gone away. I still enjoy dipping back into floristry now and again—whether that’s creating special gifts, working on events, or the occasional wedding. Alongside that, crafting has always been my other passion… so it probably comes as no surprise that the two have blended together over the years in the most wonderful way 💛 Creating flowers out of paper is something I’ve absolutely fallen in love with—and it’s been a passion of mine for over 20 years now.
