Folding with Flair: Discover the Joy of Tea Bag Tile Cards with Our New ‘Lily Pad’ Design

🌿 New Quirky Concepts - Tea Bag Tile Sheet Alert!

I’m so excited to share today’s new download – the Lily Pad Tea Bag Tile Sheet! This fun and versatile printable includes 12 tiles on one sheet, perfect for creating beautiful, dimensional embellishments using the classic tea bag folding technique.

Once purchased and downloaded, you can print and use this sheet again and again to make stunning handmade cards and paper projects. Tea bag folding has been a beloved papercraft technique for many years, and if you're new to it, don’t worry! You’ll find easy-to-follow folding tutorials over on my YouTube channel here and lots of inspiration here on the blog too.

** You may sell anything you have handmade with my designs but the sheets themselves may not be resold or shared - full Angel policy on each listing on the website

Don't do downloads - don't worry - If you prefer physical crafting items to use i do have a Tea Bag Tile cut and craft book/ kit which is available worldwide on amazon. Designed by me and printed in whatever Country you live in. You can find it here: https://amzn.to/4iYiZXf

This book doesn't have today's new sheet in it but there are lots of beautiful tile designs as shown on the front cover..pop over to my amazon book store to see all of the designs included and some of the cards i have made with them on the listing page at the bottom

A photo of one of the pages and the card i made with that tile

Today’s sample project is a pretty Z-fold card that opens to reveal the folded tile as a decorative feature inside. I used a beautiful embossing folder to create that textured background – just a simple way to add an extra bit of elegance.

I hope you love this new design and enjoy crafting with it as much as I did!

You can find it on the website here: https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/6wchW

I made a little Z-fold card with todays sheet - this is the card open

Printing paper for the tea bag tiles sheet - https://amzn.to/44XnFsX

This is my go to paper for the tea bag tiles - it prints beautifully and is a nice weight to fold. It is amazing value for 250 sheets and i get it delivered straight to my door rather than carrying a heavy ream of paper around.

Teal Mirror Card by Tonic Studios - https://amzn.to/3RQLA5P

Embossing folder by Spellbinders - https://amzn.to/3YzrS28

The Scalloped Circle nesting die - mine is an old set - there are lots of brands available on amazon just search for circle nesting dies

The beautiful corner die cuts i have had in my stash for years - i think they are tattered lace but could be wrong. I always forget to use these for cards.. i normally use them on my junk journals and flip flap books. I cut these using the embossed panel so the texture is the same as the background embossed panel. It doesn't show up very well in the photo but adds a lovely texture

The centre of the flower i used one of these pretty gems - https://amzn.to/4d4uPO8

It is matted onto a tiny little pollen die which was from an old flower die set - this was cut from the teal mirror card to make it pop

The gems i used can be found here: https://amzn.to/3Z6kpYw

I used a tacky glue for these - https://amzn.to/3YzvqRY

As always, just a little note that I’m an Amazon Associate — I may receive a small commission from qualifying purchases made through my links. It doesn’t cost you anything, but it does help support my little blog and future projects, so thank you for shopping through them if you choose to!

Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! April 28, 2026 Pretty Carnations Card So Many Questions… Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! 💙🍃 I recently shared a card over on Facebook, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the response it received! I’ve had so many lovely comments, questions, and private messages about how I created the flowers — thank you so much 💙 It has got to the point where it’s just physically impossible to reply to everyone individually, so I thought the easiest (and most helpful!) way would be to put everything together here in a blog post for you.   Buy This As A Download 🌸 Combining My Two Loves – Flowers & Crafting 🌸 This blog post includes amazon affiliate links - there is no cost to you but it helps support our blog posts and video tutorials. Flowers have always been a huge part of my life. As a fully qualified florist, I spent many years surrounded by beautiful blooms every single day. Although I hung up the snips from day-to-day shop life quite a while ago, my love for flowers and plants has never gone away. I still enjoy dipping back into floristry now and again—whether that’s creating special gifts, working on events, or the occasional wedding. Alongside that, crafting has always been my other passion… so it probably comes as no surprise that the two have blended together over the years in the most wonderful way 💛 Creating flowers out of paper is something I’ve absolutely fallen in love with—and it’s been a passion of mine for over 20 years now. Whether they are stamped, die-cut, or printed, there is something...
