Happy Tuesday!!
I hope this post finds you well and you are having a good week so far.
I wasn't planning on doing a blog post today but i have really enjoyed working on this set so much i wanted to show you the samples in greater detail and share a few ideas and tips along the way - i hope you like it.
The kit i am using today is the - Bold Botanicals Pretty Florals Purple and Yellow Pansies Paper 8x8 Set. You can find it on the website as an instant download here - https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/mCfZa

Sample Cards and ideas for the kit

This card is a z-fold card the above and below photos show how the card looks when it is standing and the card when it is open
The topper was cut with a straight edge nesting circle die - if you don't have these in your stash already you can find this one on amazon here: https://amzn.to/4iZMqbV
The fancy circle die cut was cut with a really old xcut die
Laura has made her own decoupaged flowers by cutting out some Pansy flower formers from page 19 of the Pretty Pink Pansies kit which you can find on the website here: https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/xz9T0
She has cut these out, added some shape with a ball tool and foam mat and applied her 3d pansy to the card.
The ball tool that was used: https://amzn.to/4caGwm8
The foam shaping mat that was used: https://amzn.to/4caGwm8
She has used some Yellow pollen for the centre of the flower for a realistic look.
You can find the pollen on amazon here: https://amzn.to/4hO00hv
A little bit of stickles was added to the petals for a bit of shimmer - https://amzn.to/41ZCKHA
I love Laura's little sentiment topper - using a small layer of the pansy paper in-between the layers really pulls through the design

Sharing the details for my Tea Bag Card
I made a little tea bag folded card using the paper set (excuse the glue in the photo i didn't wait for it to try before i took the photo but the glue does dry clear
I printed page 3 out at 70% changing the scale using my printer settings to make the page smaller to fit my 5"x5" card - see below

I also selected page 1 and using my printer settings i selected to print 6 to a page - this was printed out twice as i needed 8 tiles to make the tea bag topper topper - see below

I always have test print set that i print for each collection i launch so i had some spare sheets printed out
I cut out some of the pansy flowers from the sheets to make the little 3d pansy in the centre
I shaped these using my spellbinders tool set - https://amzn.to/424FzXX
and my trusty old foam mat - https://amzn.to/4caGwm8
I added some of the same flower pollen (link above) as used in Lauras card
I love this pollen i have been using it for many years and i got some to send to Laura
I used some little die cut leaves ( https://amzn.to/41XBFjv) and made some small punched flowers (https://amzn.to/4j0CwGZ )I punched these out using the pansy areas of some of the scraps left over so the punched pansies were the same colour.
Liquid pearls were used for the centres of the punched flowers
I added some little berries for a little bit of texture
If you would like to see how i shape the flowers i do have an old tutorial on youtube here
