Here is the card for today's blog post:

Supplies List:

Handmade with today's new Geisha Girls Triptych Cardmaking Topper Sheet PDF Digital Download.

You can find it on the website here: https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/RDHnj

I printed this onto my favourite printing paper for papers and toppers - it is 160gsm and super smooth. I love the results it gives and i love the convenience of getting it delivered to my door. You can find it on amazon here: https://amzn.to/4dKt1Zo

I embossed some plain blue printed paper i had from another kit

with this embossing folder - https://amzn.to/4dNq36C it is one of my most favourite embossing folders from Spellbinders.

I used the de-bossed side (the opposite side to the embossed) and i rubbed gently over the de-bossed areas with a white ink pad - you can find that on amazon here: https://amzn.to/3AcDWgF

The mirror card i used for the matting and layering is from a lovely bundle i get from amazon. It has a lovely selection of colours in it although the same company do an all silver or all gold set. You can find the mixed one here: https://amzn.to/3UaMHP6

The gold flourish die is a really old one!! It is at least 14 years old and is from Spellbinders.

The dazzler gems are from Hobby Lobby in the US

I used one of my favourite stickles to add a touch of glittery sparkle to the kimono, you can find it here on amazon - https://amzn.to/3Yoim29 this is such a lovely pastel colour and works with everything!!

I used the gold one for some of the flower centres - The gold one - https://amzn.to/4epNgfV

I made some tiny flowers using my little cheapie kiddies paper punch - https://amzn.to/4dK6EEp and punched out some flowers onto some lilac paper. i shaped them with a ball tool and added a drop of nuvo drops to the centre of the flower - https://amzn.to/4e4HHD7

Here are some close- ups so you can see what i did with the stickles

and Nuvo drops. I love using Nuvo drops and Ranger liquid pearls to create dots for flowers

and to add texture to a design. The liquid pearls are getting hard to get at the moment but Tonic have

a fabulous collection of colours if you would like to see all of the Nuvo drops you can find them on the Tonic Studios shop on amazon here - https://amzn.to/408F5kc

I hope you have liked looking at this little project.. please keep an eye out for the other cards and tags that have been made for our Japanese themed week

Let’s Talk About Those Flowers!

Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! April 28, 2026 Pretty Carnations Card So Many Questions… Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! 💙🍃 I recently shared a card over on Facebook, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the response it received! I’ve had so many lovely comments, questions, and private messages about how I created the flowers — thank you so much 💙 It has got to the point where it’s just physically impossible to reply to everyone individually, so I thought the easiest (and most helpful!) way would be to put everything together here in a blog post for you. Paper Flowers Made Beautiful: Techniques, Tips & Inspiration

Buy This As A Download 🌸 Combining My Two Loves – Flowers & Crafting 🌸 This blog post includes amazon affiliate links - there is no cost to you but it helps support our blog posts and video tutorials. Flowers have always been a huge part of my life. As a fully qualified florist, I spent many years surrounded by beautiful blooms every single day. Although I hung up the snips from day-to-day shop life quite a while ago, my love for flowers and plants has never gone away. I still enjoy dipping back into floristry now and again—whether that’s creating special gifts, working on events, or the occasional wedding. Alongside that, crafting has always been my other passion… so it probably comes as no surprise that the two have blended together over the years in the most wonderful way 💛 Creating flowers out of paper is something I’ve absolutely fallen in love with—and it’s been a passion of mine for over 20 years now. Whether they are stamped, die-cut, or printed, there is something...
