Inspired by Giverny handmade cards, notelets and notebooks ideas

Good morning from a bleak Up't North

The morning started off grey but there was blue sky peeking through so i got all excited and put some washing in. Half and hour later the rain started and it hasn't stopped. I guess it is a clothes-horse day and not a washing line day lol

I hope you like today's new kit the artwork style is a bit different i have been playing about with some new "brushes" and textures.

The story of the kit:

This kit is inspired by Giverny I have been very fortunate to visit Monet's house and even see his work room.... stroll around the garden and see the iconic bridge. The light in the garden was magical how it danced on the water and how the reflections glistened onto the plants. The sun peeking though the tress and illuminating the petals and leaves. The kit is a personal one for me. I hope you will really enjoy using this. one for your handmade cards, scrapbooks, journals and home decor projects

25 8"x 8" pages featuring a range of toppers, panels, tag, sentiments and backing papers

The kit is all about the artwork and has been designed in a way that i hope it appeals to all sorts of crafters from cardmakers to scrapbookers to crafters wanting to make journals, planners, diaries and albums as well as people who like to decorate mdf, make coasters and do decoupage / decopatch

Here are some of the samples that have been made with the kit

Laura's beautiful card below has been done with lots of lovely layers.. she used one of the backing papers as the main background

The embossed panel was done with this Spellbinders embossing folder - https://amzn.to/3z1vNvd

I hope you can see all of the sparkle above - i used stickles for that.

The green - https://amzn.to/4ehsi2s

The gold - https://amzn.to/4egxC6h

I made some tiny flowers using my little cheapie kiddies paper punch - https://amzn.to/4dK6EEp

and punched out some flowers onto some lilac paper. i shaped them with a ball tool and added a drop of nuvo drops to the centre of the flower - https://amzn.to/4e4HHD7

i also added some stickles by going over the stems and some of the leaves (link above on the previous card)

I made some cute little notelet cards using my Cameo

This kit is perfect to use with a cinch machine to create your own albums, note books and more

Let’s Talk About Those Flowers!

Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! April 28, 2026 Pretty Carnations Card So Many Questions… Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! 💙🍃 I recently shared a card over on Facebook, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the response it received! I’ve had so many lovely comments, questions, and private messages about how I created the flowers — thank you so much 💙 It has got to the point where it’s just physically impossible to reply to everyone individually, so I thought the easiest (and most helpful!) way would be to put everything together here in a blog post for you.   Buy This As A Download 🌸 Combining My Two Loves – Flowers & Crafting 🌸 This blog post includes amazon affiliate links - there is no cost to you but it helps support our blog posts and video tutorials. Flowers have always been a huge part of my life. As a fully qualified florist, I spent many years surrounded by beautiful blooms every single day. Although I hung up the snips from day-to-day shop life quite a while ago, my love for flowers and plants has never gone away. I still enjoy dipping back into floristry now and again—whether that’s creating special gifts, working on events, or the occasional wedding. Alongside that, crafting has always been my other passion… so it probably comes as no surprise that the two have blended together over the years in the most wonderful way 💛 Creating flowers out of paper is something I’ve absolutely fallen in love with—and it’s been a passion of mine for over 20 years now.
