How to use the 12x12 pages and how to change the size of the print using your printer settings

I have been creating some 12x12 pages for our Kay..and thought i would show you

These pages have been designed on a 12x12 canvas to 300 dpi so it offers fabulous quality.. just ignore the fact that they are 12"x12" for the moment, i just created them that size so they appeal to more people.

When i was in Canada i had a local print shop.. i used to take my designs and get them printed. It was so much cheaper than buying scrapbook pages from Michaels. I used to like choosing the different card/ paper/vellum to print onto - they had a good selection of textures and finishes too!

and i have stickles, foil and gilding flakes if i wanted to bling them up.

It literally saved me a fortune!

for home printing on a:

A4 Printer - just print as normal onto your A4 Sheet

A3 Printer - print onto A3 to give you your 12x12 sheet

** Have your 12x12 pages printed at your local print shop (show them your receipt for permission to print)

The sheets can be used for lots of papercrafting projects such as handmade cards:

They also work really well for scrapbooks, notebooks, note cards, junk journals, brag books, mdf crafts, decopatch / decoupage, bottle art, fabric art, collage and so many mores styles of crafts

If you use the card as an example the background layer was printed at 70% and the second sheet was printed at 40% to create a background paper and a topper for my card.

I do this using my Printer settings.. it is so simple!!

here’s how you can change the size of a scrapbook page using your printer settings on different devices:

Windows

  1. Open Printer Settings:

    • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    • Right-click on your printer and select Printing Preferences.
  2. Create Custom Paper Size:

    • In the Printing Preferences window, go to the Paper/Quality tab.
    • Click on Custom or Advanced settings.
    • Select Custom Paper Size and enter the dimensions of your scrapbook page. Save it with a name.
  3. Select the Custom Size:

    • When printing, select the custom paper size from the Paper Size dropdown menu in the print dialog box.

Mac

  1. Open the File to Print:

    • Open the file you want to print and click File > Print.
  2. Access Print Settings:

    • Select your printer and click Show Details to access print settings.
  3. Create Custom Paper Size:

    • In the Paper Size dropdown, select Manage Custom Sizes.
    • Click the + button to create a new size, enter the dimensions, and save it.
  4. Select the Custom Size:

    • Choose the custom size you created from the Paper Size dropdown menu.

iPad

  1. Use a Printing App:

    • Download an app like Print to Size from the App Store.
  2. Set Up Custom Size:

    • Open the app, choose the paper size, orientation, and measurement unit.
    • Add your images or graphics, resize, and arrange them as needed.
  3. Print:

    • Once everything is set, print directly from the app.

Mobile Phone (iOS/Android)

  1. Use a Printing App:

    • Download a printing app like Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY or HP Smart.
  2. Set Up Custom Size:

    • Open the app, select your printer, and go to Print Settings.
    • Choose the paper size and adjust other settings as needed.
  3. Print:

    • Print your scrapbook page directly from the app.

These steps should help you print your scrapbook pages in the desired size on various devices
