The Focal Point of the card - Pom Pom's and Posies Collection - Annabelle Character project topper sheet - you can find the download on the website here - https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/NqGuS

Card blanks and card

The topper project sheet was printed onto my favourite printing medium for topper sheets, the 160gsm super smooth printing paper is bright white and it gives a professional finish to the print outs. You can find it here on amazon - https://amzn.to/3YgR12m This ream size is 250 sheets and it works brilliantly with both my inkjet and laser printers and i feel happier knowing that it has been FSC certified.

The card blanks are 8x8 i have been using the same brand for over 10 years. I used to get them from Hobbycraft but they were getting hard to get you can - find them here on amazon here -https://amzn.to/4cRNNqe

Embossing folder - i have had this for about 3 years it works for all year round projects. It is perfect for album crafts too and shabby chic themes. It has been sold out everywhere for ages as i tried to find it for Laura but i came across it the other week on amazon here - https://amzn.to/3YeIPQ8

The card i used to emboss was a new set i got to try from amazon - it is 300gsm and bright white. I am really happy with the quality and for the price i will definitely buy it again. You can find it here: https://amzn.to/3WzhMh2

Mirror card - i posted this pack the other day you get 40 mixed sheets - i used a combo of the pale blue and silver on the card. You can find it here: https://amzn.to/4bUjUEr

The ink applied to the embossed area on the card and edging on the topper and sentiment was done with a VersaColour / VersaCraft mini ink pad.. from ‎Tsukineko i love working with smaller ink pads as i have more control of where the ink goes especially when you are rubbing over embossed areas or using the pad itself to edge toppers and sentiments. They are available in a huge range of colours - i used the Baby Blue for the card - you can find them on amazon here: https://amzn.to/4fgCud6 just pick what colour you would like or treat yourself to a few lol. I love these colour-rich pigment inks.

Flowers, foliage and berries:

The flowers were die cut with some old flower dies from my stash. I used some blue polka dot paper left over that i had printed from one of my kits

The dark green ivy are my printable leaves, you can find them on the website here: Print, cut and form foliage - https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/pj3N

I also used some of my Print, cut and form holly which you can find here: https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/aAhoc

The fern leaves are from Spellbinders you can find these on amazon here: https://amzn.to/4bVaadj

The fluffy and sparkly little white berries are part of little sprays that i got for my classes. i love them they are so easy to use - you just cut off the bits you want. You can find them here: https://amzn.to/46eJxi4 (this was the white set)

Bling bling!! Crystals, sequins and gems

I used some wire crystals to add a bit of bling - you can find them on amazon here - https://amzn.to/3yaJIyA

I used a few sequins from my stash but i found this cute little multi pack i found on amazon - https://amzn.to/4dcjdHJ

The dazzler gems (the turquoise flat backed gem in the bottom right panel of the embossed card) - i love using these they really add a nice touch to your cards. You can buy them on amazon here: https://amzn.to/3YgNpxk

So much cheaper than hobbycraft!! i paid the same price for 10 stuck to a piece of acetate in a bag!

The crystal ones are gorgeous too.. you can find these here: https://amzn.to/46fYEbg

Fibres - i ran out of silver sisal and the cream didn't look right so i pulled some silver metallic thread off the spool and placed it under the flowers to give a fine little fibre texture. The thread i used is very similar to this one on amazon - https://amzn.to/3SiYk5R

I used some pollen head blue stamens (sorry these are from my stash i couldn't find them on amazon so there is no link)

Adhesives

I used my Crafters Companion tape pen - https://amzn.to/3SmwCFk for all of the card and paper layers

Hunkydory foam pads were used to elevate up the Merry Christmas sentiment - https://amzn.to/4dvUK0r

I used my art glitter to glue my gems and sequins - https://amzn.to/4fqelkm

Everything else was adhered using my glue gun. The yellow one that i got from Amazon 3 years ago when i got back from Canada is going strong even thought it is used nearly every day. The yellow version isn't available anymore but this one is very, very similar.. it comes with lots of glue sticks to get you started and

even has a little bag so you can hang it up when you are not using it or you can take it to craft classes. You can find in on amazon here: https://amzn.to/3WerLHq

Let’s Talk About Those Flowers!

Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! April 28, 2026 Pretty Carnations Card So Many Questions… Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! 💙🍃 I recently shared a card over on Facebook, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the response it received! I’ve had so many lovely comments, questions, and private messages about how I created the flowers — thank you so much 💙 It has got to the point where it’s just physically impossible to reply to everyone individually, so I thought the easiest (and most helpful!) way would be to put everything together here in a blog post for you. Paper Flowers Made Beautiful: Techniques, Tips & Inspiration

Buy This As A Download 🌸 Combining My Two Loves – Flowers & Crafting 🌸 This blog post includes amazon affiliate links - there is no cost to you but it helps support our blog posts and video tutorials. Flowers have always been a huge part of my life. As a fully qualified florist, I spent many years surrounded by beautiful blooms every single day. Although I hung up the snips from day-to-day shop life quite a while ago, my love for flowers and plants has never gone away. I still enjoy dipping back into floristry now and again—whether that’s creating special gifts, working on events, or the occasional wedding. Alongside that, crafting has always been my other passion… so it probably comes as no surprise that the two have blended together over the years in the most wonderful way 💛 Creating flowers out of paper is something I’ve absolutely fallen in love with—and it’s been a passion of mine for over 20 years now. Whether they are stamped, die-cut, or printed, there is something...
