Handmade Welcome Home For Christmas Little Square Card with 3D Holly Leaves

“Home for Christmas: A Warm Welcome”

As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, there’s a magical feeling that settles over our homes. The familiar scent of pine greets us as we step through the door, and there it is—the wreath, proudly hanging on the front, its vibrant greens, reds and golds contrasting against the black wooden door.

The twinkling lights dance along the eaves, weaving their way around the porch railing. They’re not just lights; they’re memories—each bulb representing a year, a celebration, a shared laugh. The tangle of cords might frustrate us as we untangle them, but once they’re draped across the bushes and wrapped around the porch columns, it’s worth every effort.

Inside, the tree stands tall, adorned with ornaments collected over the years. Some are delicate glass baubles, remnants of childhood. Others are quirky and mismatched—gifts from friends who know us well. The star at the top winks down, as if saying, “Welcome home.”

The fireplace crackles, casting a warm glow across the room. Stockings hang by the chimney, waiting to be filled with surprises. The cozy blankets on the couch invite us to snuggle up and share stories late into the night.

As we gather with loved ones, the house comes alive. Laughter echoes through the halls, and the kitchen buzzes with activity. The aroma of cinnamon and cloves fills the air, promising delicious feasts and sweet treats.

So, we fluff the pillows, straighten the throw rugs, and adjust the wreath one last time. We’re ready. Ready to welcome family, friends, and even strangers. Ready to share warmth, love, and the joy of being together.

Because home isn’t just a place; it’s a feeling—a sense of belonging. And during this season of twinkling lights and crackling fires, we open our doors wide, inviting everyone to experience that magic

Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! April 28, 2026 Pretty Carnations Card So Many Questions… Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! 💙🍃 I recently shared a card over on Facebook, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the response it received!   Buy This As A Download 🌸 Combining My Two Loves – Flowers & Crafting 🌸 This blog post includes amazon affiliate links - there is no cost to you but it helps support our blog posts and video tutorials. Flowers have always been a huge part of my life. As a fully qualified florist, I spent many years surrounded by beautiful blooms every single day. Although I hung up the snips from day-to-day shop life quite a while ago, my love for flowers and plants has never gone away. I still enjoy dipping back into floristry now and again—whether that’s creating special gifts, working on events, or the occasional wedding. Alongside that, crafting has always been my other passion… so it probably comes as no surprise that the two have blended together over the years in the most wonderful way 💛 Creating flowers out of paper is something I’ve absolutely fallen in love with—and it’s been a passion of mine for over 20 years now.
