New today - Pom Poms and Posies Rebecca Christmas Topper Sheet PDF Digital Download

You can find her here on the website - https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/Qbpz0

I have called this a cardmaking topper sheet as essentially that's what it is... but there are so many uses for it. The sheet has 4 toppers, a tag and 4 sentiments. Here is a look at the sheet

Supplies List for the card

The beautiful embossed background has been made with this lovely embossing folder from Creative Expressions - https://amzn.to/4dkEfnv

I used my versacolour ink pad -https://amzn.to/3WmNddj

The beautiful midnight blue pearl card can be found here: https://amzn.to/3YohdYG

and finger daubers - https://amzn.to/3LJzU1p

to distress the edge of the embossed card and rub over the design to add a wintery chalky white finish to the embossed area.

Smaller ink pads are available if you don't want to use daubers i was just using what was at hand.. the smaller ink pad can be found here: https://amzn.to/3St79tV

The mirror card is from this bundle i got on amazon - it is perfect for matting and layering and i think it is great for the price for a pack of 60 sheets in a good assortment of colours. If you would like to take a look you can find it on amazon here: https://amzn.to/3ylRXI6

The beautiful die cut ivory leaves in the picture above are cut from this die set from Tim Holtz - https://amzn.to/3St79tV

(well done to everyone who ordered this the other week when it was on promotion.. i post daily deals on my facebook page so make sure to keep an eye on it as i scour my Amazon affiliate daily deals page every day to find us bargains!!)

I used some of my Fussy Cut leaves to create the foliage base for the poinsettia to sit on

You can find the printable ivy leaves here: https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/pj3N

You can find the fussy cut winter sprigs here: https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/87BUD

The holly and berries fussy sheet can be found here: https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/J1neb

The glass beads i used for 3d berries can be found in this fun little set on amazon here: https://amzn.to/3YsZyiD

The flower (Poinsettia) die i have had in my stash for a few years - it was a Freebie in a magazine when i was living in Canada.

There is a Spellbinders poinsettia die that is gorgeous.. if you would like to take a look you can find it here - https://amzn.to/3A4pBCD

I shaped the flower with my ball tool and foam mat starting at the tip of the petal and gently drawing towards the centre of the flower.

If you would like to create the same colour flower to match your card topper i have made the plain sheet available for you to download for FREE from our website here - https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/R729z

For fancy gems for flower centres check this set out on amazon - https://amzn.to/4d0C48R it is pricey for the set but they are so lovely to use for your "special cards" Every time i order this set they have a few slightly different ones in. I like it because i have a good mix. I added a little stickles under the gem for a bit of sparkle - https://amzn.to/3YkNujx

The gem that i used for the top left of the card is also from one of these sets.

Adhesives:

Tape pens for all of the card layers - https://amzn.to/3A72tU7

Hot glue gun and glue sticks used for all of the leaves, flower and gems - mine is yellow and old but the newer ones are white and now come with a little bag - https://amzn.to/3WivVxS

My personal preference for glue guns for my crafts is small, a good lead length and a completely metal nib

I hope you have liked looking at this little project i really enjoyed making it and typing up the supplies list for you. *** Please note that the links for the products are from Amazon UK - all items were in stock at the point of writing this blog. Such a good price for 144 of them!!

Some ideas for inside the crackers:

  • So much fun - I love this little set of NON alcoholic mixers for Cocktails OR Mocktails - a bit of fun to make together as a family or friends party at Christmastime - https://amzn.to/3ykiZzy

  • Alcoholic miniatures (if appropriate)

  • I am perfume sensitive so this is no good for me but if you know family member's are ok with smellies you could pop in miniature bottles of beauty products

  • American sweets, candy and chocolate - check out some of the options here to give you some ideas: https://amzn.to/3ymeHaR (popping candy, peanut butter cups, chuppa lollies etc..)

  • Individual chocolates such as Lindt
