Supplies List for the card

Focal Point - Pom Pom's and Posies Collection - Anna Character project topper sheet - you can find the download on the website here - https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/he1VA

This was printed out onto my favourite 160gsm super smooth bright white printing paper which you can find on amazon here: https://amzn.to/3LrTtvh

This is my absolute go to for printing paper and having it delivered means i don't have to carry it around a shop and to the car. You can imagine how many sheets i go through as all of my designs are test printed before i uploaded to the website and as some of my kits can be 30/40 pages you can see how many i would go through. Not to mention some of my customers who buy printed sheets off me.

This is the perfect all rounder and really makes my designs pop! It is also the perfect weight for my Print cut and form flowers and leaves as it is heavy enough to hold its weight without being too taxing on your hands when shaping with a ball tool.

The backing paper is from the 'Feel the Magic of Christmas" kit which you can find on the website here: https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/KjR0n - it is page no 3 in the kit.

The lace is from this lace bundle which is available on amazon here: https://amzn.to/3WbVrof i will have to think of something to use the cream lace for as i am not a cream card person but this is fab for the price.. i might have to create a kit just to use the cream lol.

The die cut foliage is from

The larger pale green leaves at the top of the leaves are from a Spellbinders set which available on amazon here: https://amzn.to/3W7OQvm

The rest of the foliage is from a Tim Holtz foliage set which you can find on amazon here: https://amzn.to/3WpHk07

The above fibres are amazing i wanted a little fluffy stuff underneath the flowers and i am sick of using sisal so i bought some of these to use instead it is so nice to work with and has such a frosted iridescent effect when the light catches it. You can find the Lama / Yarn on amazon here it is a fab price for crafting with and will come in really handy for all of your Christmas crafty projects - I found it on amazon here: https://amzn.to/3zXjIab

The poinsettia flower was made with a Die set that i got in a Craft magazine when i was living in Canada.. Spellbinders have a beautiful poinsettia die which has a very similar shape to the petals. If you would like to take a look you can find it on amazon here - https://amzn.to/3Y5rFnN

I used the dark silver stamens from this Sizzix stamen set in the centre of the poinsettia flower - they are available on amazon here: https://amzn.to/3zNwvMs

I popped a little stickles round the base of the stamens just for some added sparkle my favourite one is Crystal and you can find it on amazon here - https://amzn.to/468Pr4e

In the photo above and below you will see i used some stranded pearl sprays - you can find these here on amazon - https://amzn.to/3S8QmvZ this link is for the "Pearl" but under the same listing there are different options to choose from so take a look at the options :-)

The flowers on either side of the poinsettia are made from really old Crafters Companion Diesire flower dies i had a quick look on amazon to see if i could find something similar for you but i couldn't.. sorry!

I used some pearl beads for the centres of these.

The large die cut panel is from a Spellbinders die which is called A2 Swirl.. it has sold out on amazon but there is a very similar Spellbinders die which you can take a look at here: https://amzn.to/4d2ZMRC

I used the larger size from this set of the adhesive flat backed faux pearls on the corners of the card - https://amzn.to/3WsP3ug i always add a little glue under the gems regardless of the brand just to make sure they don't pop off over time if the glue that is on them dries out (this is quite common as glue has been applied to them to stick to the sheet that they come on so when you lift them off the sheet to add to your project the glue sometimes isn't as sticky as you would like)

Just to be on the safe size i add a little wet glue!

Silver mirri card - I have been getting this Mirror card - it is A4 and you get 10 sheets in the pack - it is really good value for money in my opinion especially when i use it for just matting and layering. You can find it on amazon here; https://amzn.to/4cC3WA9

They have a fabulous selection of colours to choose from if you look back at some of my blog posts you will see some of the other colours that i have used. You can find all of their mirror card options here: https://amzn.to/3Y3Tf4Y

The non- shed glitter card is also really nice - you can find the glitter card here: https://amzn.to/4cL5hof again for matting and layering these work out at really good value!! and as much as i love my glitter it is nice to work with a non shed glitter card sometimes

I hope you have enjoyed today's blog post it has been a bit of a mammoth one..

Thank you for looking, happy crafting as always! A xo

Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! April 28, 2026 Pretty Carnations Card So Many Questions… Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! 💙🍃 I recently shared a card over on Facebook, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the response it received! I’ve had so many lovely comments, questions, and private messages about how I created the flowers — thank you so much 💙 It has got to the point where it’s just physically impossible to reply to everyone individually, so I thought the easiest (and most helpful!) way would be to put everything together here in a blog post for you.   Buy This As A Download 🌸 Combining My Two Loves – Flowers & Crafting 🌸 This blog post includes amazon affiliate links - there is no cost to you but it helps support our blog posts and video tutorials. Flowers have always been a huge part of my life. As a fully qualified florist, I spent many years surrounded by beautiful blooms every single day. Although I hung up the snips from day-to-day shop life quite a while ago, my love for flowers and plants has never gone away. I still enjoy dipping back into floristry now and again—whether that’s creating special gifts, working on events, or the occasional wedding. Alongside that, crafting has always been my other passion… so it probably comes as no surprise that the two have blended together over the years in the most wonderful way 💛 Creating flowers out of paper is something I’ve absolutely fallen in love with—and it’s been a passion of mine for over 20 years now.
