Small batch Canadian style Flapjack.. my own recipe
30 minutes - 12 pieces
Ingredients:
50g SR Flour
50g Maple syrup (you could use golden syrup if you have it)
50g Large Oats
20g Pecans
20g Roasted sunflowers seeds
20g Cashew nuts
30g choc chips
**A small amount of butter 20g and extra chocolate if you want to drizzle on top**
Melt the butter in the microwave for 30 seconds or until it has all melted.
Stir in flour and mix well
Add maple syrup and mix until there are no lumps or clumps of flour showing
Add the oats and mix making sure that the oats are all coated.
Add everything else and mix
Press into a small baking tin - i used a loaf tin which i lined with grease proof paper and just give a quick spray with oil.
Make sure it is all pressed down.
Bake 15-20 minutes at 350F - i use a small counter top oven so 15 minutes was perfect for mine.
I use a Sage, it is fantastic, we never have to put the big oven (it has saved us so much as you only need to heat such a small space and it is so much quicker). I will pop a link below if you would like to see mine
Lift out by the parchment paper flaps and set aside on a cooling rack
I added a small amount of butter to a bowl and melted in the microwave. I bashed up 1/3 small bar of dairy milk using a rolling pin and then added to the butter to melt the chocolate. Mix well until it is all melted then drizzle over the flapjack
Enjoy!
