I was asked to do some designs for young ladies Birthdays (18th, 21st etc..) so this is one of the designs i came up with.. because who doesn't love a good cocktail or mocktail

I decided to do this as a One Sheet Wonder because i wanted to do the co-ordinating background so thought it would be useful to have everything on the one sheet.

You get the topper sheet, backing paper design and 4 sentiments to choose from which cover -

Wishing you a Happy Birthday, Congratulations, Cheers! and Celebrate

You can find it here on the website - https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/YzF3g

The sheet was downloaded and printed onto 200gsm super smooth as that was what was loaded in the printer at the time.

I used a 8x8 Card

Black and Silver Card for matting and layering and i used the black to die cut a pretty square panel to sit under the topper.

The topper was edged with a graphite sparkle ink pad as was the backing paper (this just makes it pop a little against the silver mirror card)

I used some of my Holly leaves with the points cut off to make more of a Bay leaf shaped leaf you can find this sheet here - https://shop.obyd.co.uk/b/aAhoc

A handmade flower was added to create a little focal point to the flower corsage along with some silver wired beads, printed leaves (link above) heart embellishment strands and a Tim Holtz / Sizzix skeleton leaf which i coloured in with a graphite ink pad

I did my little ruffled ribbon technique (i have done this in one of my older youtube videos) just to add some lovely rich purple to the card (it looks darker in the photo but it is a lovely royal purple - i got this from Hobby Craft - it was a bargain at only £1 a roll.

The little pearl heart embellishments are from Hobbycraft

I hope you have enjoyed this little project, thank you for looking

and happy Crafting as Always A xo

Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! April 28, 2026 Pretty Carnations Card So Many Questions… Let’s Talk About Those Flowers! 💙🍃 I recently shared a card over on Facebook, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the response it received! I’ve had so many lovely comments, questions, and private messages about how I created the flowers — thank you so much 💙 It has got to the point where it’s just physically impossible to reply to everyone individually, so I thought the easiest (and most helpful!) way would be to put everything together here in a blog post for you.   Buy This As A Download 🌸 Combining My Two Loves – Flowers & Crafting 🌸 This blog post includes amazon affiliate links - there is no cost to you but it helps support our blog posts and video tutorials. Flowers have always been a huge part of my life. As a fully qualified florist, I spent many years surrounded by beautiful blooms every single day. Although I hung up the snips from day-to-day shop life quite a while ago, my love for flowers and plants has never gone away. I still enjoy dipping back into floristry now and again—whether that’s creating special gifts, working on events, or the occasional wedding. Alongside that, crafting has always been my other passion… so it probably comes as no surprise that the two have blended together over the years in the most wonderful way 💛 Creating flowers out of paper is something I’ve absolutely fallen in love with—and it’s been a passion of mine for over 20 years now. Whether they are stamped, die-cut, or printed, there is something...
