Foiling my own sentiments for Special Birthdays

I showed some pics of my little sentiments i did and asked if you would like a video so here it is, i hope you like it.

I wanted to make some special little sentiments for Milestone Birthdays. I have some friends and family member's that have some special Birthdays coming up so i designed this little sheet for me to be able to add that extra little extra touch to my handmade cards.

Who can use this sheet?


  • This sheet can be used by everyone to create black digi sentiments for your cards and projects..

don't forget..

  • You can re-size the sheet using your printer settings
  • Print first with a nice pastel design then print these black sentiments over the top if you would like to add a touch of colour to them
  • Electronic cutting machines - The download contains a JPG, PNG and a PDF file so if anyone wants to cut these out with a electronic cutting machine that accepts these file types they can do.


**** This sheet really comes into it's own when printed on a toner printer and used with a toner reactive foiling machine whether that be a Minc, a Pasty May or a Laminator (there are lots of brands available)


What i used to create this project:


I printed this download onto 200gsm navigator card - (link for UK customers for international readers see my store front link below to where you are)

I used the Minc foiling machine and carrier sheet - you can find all of the Minc products here in the store



I used the Heidi Swapp Rose gold Foil which you can find this specific foil here


The process:

  • I downloaded the sentiment sheet
  • Printed it onto my Brother Laser Printer
  • Applied the foil over the sentiments (Rose gold side up) then popped it in the carrier sheet
  • When the light on the machine flashes green on a number 3 i ran it through the machine
  • After allowing the sheet to cool a little i pulled back a corner of the foil sheet and carefully peeled it off the sentiment sheet to reveal the foiled sentiments


I then used my Gemini machine to die cut the sentiments using a selection of circle nesting dies but you can cut yours any shape you like.
